The Japan-America Society of Washington DC is pleased to invite you to a reception in the United States Capitol on March 19, honoring the United States' relationship with Japan, and featuring remarks from Ambassador Shigeo Yamada, Senator Bill Hagerty, and Congressman Mark Takano.
The reception is a preview event for our Sakura Matsuri-Japanese Street Festival on Pennsylvania Ave (April 13-14), the largest Japanese cultural event in the United States, and pleased to participate as a Premier Event of Washington, D.C.'s world famous National Cherry Blossom Festival. We will feature several of this year's Sakura Matsuri exhibitors, including Dassai Sake and Mars Whiskey. Light refreshments will be served.
The reception is hosted by Japan-America Society of Washington DC. It is co-hosted by Senator Bill Hagerty, Senator Ed Markey, Congressman Mark Takano, and the Embassy of Japan.
This event is invitation-only and non-transferrable. The reception is capacity-limited, and therefore we recommend registering as soon as possible to guarantee availability.
